Candle Care & Safety

Get the best experience from your True Serenity candle with proper care and safe burning practices.

Before Every Burn

Trim each wick to approximately ¼ inch before lighting. This helps control the flame, reduce soot and encourage an even burn.

Remove wick trimmings, matches and other debris from the wax before lighting.

The First Burn

Allow the candle to burn long enough for the melted wax to reach close to the edges of the vessel. This helps prevent tunneling and creates a more even burn throughout the life of the candle.

Do not burn a candle for longer than four hours at a time.

8 oz Single-Wick Candles

Trim the wick before every use and keep it centered. Allow the wax to cool and become solid before relighting or moving the candle.

12 oz Two-Wick Candles

Trim both wicks evenly before each burn. Always light and extinguish both wicks together so the candle burns evenly.

Candle Safety

  • Place candles on a stable, level and heat-resistant surface.
  • Keep burning candles away from drafts, curtains, bedding, paper and other flammable materials.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep candles away from children and pets.
  • Never move a candle while it is burning or while the wax and vessel are hot.
  • Discontinue use if the vessel becomes cracked or damaged.
  • Stop burning when approximately ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom.
  • Extinguish the candle before leaving the room or going to sleep.

Rock Bottom Decorative Candle

The Rock Bottom candle is a handcrafted decorative recovery keepsake. It is designed for display only and must never be lit or burned.
